  • How to get a job in 2 weeks

First off I really enjoying writing these for some reason. I just writing skills that I learn within the last 11 years in my life. It just feels good to put down on the internet. I know I'm not the best writer in the world but I know these will get better in time.

Any way back to the topic.

We would all like to get a better job. Are you tried of your job? Do you want to know how to seed up the career ladder quicker? Do you a 6 figure salary? Well you are reading the right page.

Everyone is in different boats in their lives. Some people maybe in School and someone are near normal retirement age. Hopefully these tips will help all of you.

First thing you need to do.

Find a job you want. Look in the local papers or look on the internet there are hundreds of jobs out there. Most of them will be useless to you but when you find a job that you want keep it. If it on the internet copy and paste on to Word (or other word processing packages).

    Second thing.

Research the company. Know the company to a fair degree. Write down the important things about the company. A few things you may want to write down are things like: Age of company, how many offices (and where), their Unique Selling Point, location and key members of the company. These can be used later. Also write these down and keep them near your phone.

    Third thing.

Get a contact number and the person that you are addressing. If you have a CV and covering letter send them by E-mail and not by post. Most companies now don't like using post these days. Sending them all the information they need is important in this process.

    Fourth Thing.

The phone call. Do this one or two days after sending your CV. They may phone you before hand (that is why you wrote down all that information about the company). Use your most of your knowledge about the company towards them. However if they don't phone you you need to phone them. However this is where you can mess up. The thing that NEED to be Cheeky and I mean really cheeky. Phone them up about if your CV has been send. If they say it has then say when do you want to do an interview. They will most likely say 'well I don't....' but this is were you can be cheeky. Say 'Well I think we should do it on (make it a close date). This will lead the people you contacted think, in which you use. Say I think it would be better if we did it before everyone else because I know that you blow away with me. However don't go over the top. If you do that you may just blow it (no boss will want a employee who over shadows them). This will lead on you getting an interview.

    Fifth Thing.

You all know what to do in interviews. Wear your best suit, be clean and so on. Do carry a notepad with all the information about the company. If you do this right and say the right things you will mostly get the job.

It is easier then it sounds.

    Next blog.

    Value the markets.

I do plan to co-blog with some of my employees and hopefully both of my apprentices.

  • How to save money on retail goods.

This is an art form. You cannot go into a shop and ask for a hundred pounds off on the latest computer console. It doesn't work like that. There are three main steps that you have to do before hand. These are:

    1. Know the shop keeper/salesman/shop assistant's name.

This is important. Knowing the person name will make it easier to communicate with them. Plus it makes it a lot more personal.

    2. Do a bit of research.

Look for that product in other stores and online. You can use it to back up why they should discount the item in the first place.

    3. Ask for a discount.

If you don't ask for a discount you won't get one. For example say the item was 400 pounds, ask for 250 pounds. They will most likely say no, however they will try regain the sale. They will most likely lower the price by 20 to 30 quid (that is a saving). Say things like I can get it cheaper on Amazon and give an example from you research. You can save a lot of money by doing this.

    So where should you start?

Go into the shop and look around (even if you know what you're looking for). Wait until a sales Assistant comes along. Talk to them, say you're looking for the goods you want and once they find the good you want ask for their name. Most people will give and you will need to give you're (give them a fake name if you want). Talk about the price and say that you hoping it would be less then that. Say you're sure that you find it cheaper on the internet. Sales Assistants are trained on getting you back by giving you discounts. They may take a few pounds off but say you were looking to spent a lot less then (say around 30 to 40% off). Most of them will say no but they will bring up another price. If the price looks fair ask for some extras. Give if you get some old rubbish it worth it but you great something useful.

    Any other tips?

Pay in Cash. Most companies make more money if you use Cash then credit cards. You can just ask from the percentage want the credit cards take off and you can just put that on the savings.

Long Pauses. Go out there with a crazy price and just pause. They will feel uneasy and you can just wait from them to reply.

Don't look nervous. IF you look nervous you wouldn't get a discount.

How to get a job within 2 weeks

  • My first blog

Hi My name is Jack Smith

I'm currently a retired businessman at the age of 27. I would call myself a very successful person. Currently worth over 12 million pounds and owning land worth over 13 million and a former writer for the FT.

Why am I making this blog?

Yesterday I was write a book on my business knowledge and skills. However I looked at the idea I turn it down. Mainly because it would be one page long. This page would just say know your product and know your market. I will cover in another blog why these things are important.

What are you going to use this blog for?

I'm planning to keep this log to help other people with their business problems. From marketing or how to sell. Just send me a message and I will write a blog on how to improve/advise/inform that person. Also I plan to get some of my business partners to come on and write on current business events and problems.

What are you planning to write next?

I'm going to tell how to get something less the sale price
